Details of major BAW events/activities:

Brain week was held from 14 to 17 March 2016. The theme this year was: "Brain, creativity and emotions." a call for high school students involved in the development of posters both individually and in teams mentored by a professor was developed. The posters feature the popular science was to be exposed in the premises of the school to the student community with the aim of disseminating scientific different topics around creativity, emotions and brain. He attended 83. Likewise, five lectures were given by specialists from the fields of biology, psychology, medicine and neurosciences to high school students. The aim, disseminating different perspectives on topics such as the importance of sleep in emotions, brain areas, hippocampal, explanations of neurosciences on emotions, among others. Finally it conducted five workshops, where teachers worked with students in the development of anatomical models of the brain to explain hemispheric specialization, the operation of lateral thinking and creativity in the brain. It was attended by approximately 750 students participating, five speakers, 5 teachers who give a workshop, 18 advisory tearchers and 3 advisers organizers
